Last night, A Wheel out of Kilter won the highest honor at the Macabre Faire Film Festival -- the Best Feature Film award. The entire festival was awesome. We got to meet some amazing filmmakers, writers, and producers, do some interviews with New York press, and see some great scary films. The star of the festival is the director herself, Elsie. Elsie has been running this festival despite going through chemotherapy for stage 4 breast cancer. She is a vibrant, beautiful personality, full of compassion, humor, and vulgarity. She's as shocking as she is inspiring and everyone fell in love with her immediately. Elsie (and your team), we are so thankful to you for accepting our film, nominating it for no less than seven awards, and eventually awarding it with your top prize. Here are a few pictures from the evening-- Above - Elsie congratulates Ross on the award for Best Feature. Below - Ross is interviewed on the red carpet. Finally, below, you can watch some excerpts from the award ceremony where they announce Best Feature Film. Apologies to my fellow nominees, whose names and films I've removed from this edit for the sake of time.
